Welcome to the GIF Playoffs! Throughout the real NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, we're awarding points to playoff contenders who have a GIF in our archive matching a different weekly category. This week, the new iPhone was announced, so it's only appropriate to declare this the week of phones and screens.

1 point: Great selfie, Kurt Busch. You could have probably just used the front-facing camera, but you do you.
3 of 15
2 points: Like many Ryan Blaney fans, Todd Gordon might be browsing Blaney's Instagram feed to see what he's up to.
4 of 15
3 points: Great photo, Alex Bowman team member. It'll make one heck of a phone wallpaper.
5 of 15
4 points: Everybody likes a victory selfie! Points for Denny Hamlin, the subject of the photo, even though he's not the one using the phone.
6 of 15
5 points: William Byron famously started racing on a computer. We're imagining the screen behind him is actually an advanced proprietary training tool.
7 of 15
6 points: Brad Keselowski has been using the same tablet since, like, 2002.

7 points: Interrupting an interview because your phone's ringing? Come on, Kevin Harvick. Silent mode!
9 of 15
8 points: OK, Kevin Harvick. That's more like it.
10 of 15
9 points: Cole Custer: "SIRI, GIVE ME DIRECTIONS TO VICTORY LANE."
11 of 15
10 points: A call from the boss man in Victory Lane? Kurt Busch would probably prefer the call over a notoriously violent Chip Ganassi victory hug-shake.
12 of 15
11 points: Clint Bowyer is juuuust a bit better at driving a real car than a virtual one.
13 of 15
12 points: Of course, one of the most notable screen-related incidents in NASCAR history came when Denny Hamlin's screen was mistakenly switched off by young Taylor in an eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race. Oops.

-5 points: In the GIF Playoffs, one driver can earn negative points each week if he has done something against the spirit of the week's theme. This week, that's Denny Hamlin, whose wheel came under a little bit of smartphone-assisted scrutiny to check for loose lug nuts. (Turns out one was loose, which resulted in a nice little fine for the crew chief. Oops!)

Well, that's it. The sixth round of the GIF Playoffs is in the books. Here are the current standings after Round 6, the round of phones and screens.
