AJ Allmendinger races full time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing. He has 12 total Xfinity Series wins with 10 of those coming with Kaulig. His other two career Xfinity Series wins were with Team Penske. Allmendinger used to compete full time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Penske, Richard Petty Motorsports, JTG Daugherty Racing and Red Bull Racing. His first career Cup Series win came at Watkins Glen International in 2014, which qualified him for his first playoffs appearance. At the inaugural Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course in August 2021, Allmendinger picked up his second win and the first for Kaulig Racing in the series.
